Collagen Gummies
Share
Gummies are fun, fantastical, fruity ways to get a handful of collagen peptides into kids’ and adults’ mouths. Great to pack as snacks for kids on long car trips, in lunch boxes, as quick bites to pop during game halftimes, these gummies have the same pleasing sweet taste and texture of commercial chewable gummies when made with real fruit juice. For fitness aficionados, these make ideal do-it-yourself gummies to tote on the go, in resealable baggies to the box, or for an easy treat to enjoy when you crest the top of a hill. These collagen gummies can be made plain with water, collagen, and gelatin, or sweetened up a bit by using 100% fruit juice instead of water.
Collagen Gummies
Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 1 batch makes 50 mini gummies, 16 medium gummies, or 12 large gummies
Ingredients
Triple Berry Collagen Gummies
- 1 cup spring water or 100% fruit juice (acai, pomegranate, or blueberry juice work well)
- 2 scoops Primal Kitchen Collagen Quench Triple Berry Collagen Peptide Mix
- 4 tablespoons grass-fed gelatin
Pineapple Mango Collagen Gummies
- 1 cup spring water or 100% fruit juice (pineapple, mango, or orange juice work well)
- 2 scoops Primal Kitchen Collagen Quench Pineapple Mango Collagen Peptide Mix
- 4 tablespoons grass-fed gelatin
Matcha Collagen Gummies
- 1 cup spring water or 100% fruit juice (pineapple juice works well)
- 2 scoops Primal Kitchen Matcha Collagen Keto Latte
- 4 tablespoons grass-fed gelatin
Equipment
- Silicone gummy molds (any shapes)
- Eye dropper or liquid measuring cup with a pourable spout
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine water or juice, collagen, and gelatin.
- Whisk until collagen and gelatin have dissolved. Place the saucepan on the stove over medium heat. Whisk occasionally as the mixture heats up and becomes more liquid. Place silicone molds onto a baking tray or cookie sheet.
- Once the gummy mixture is fully liquid, remove the pan from the heat. Pour the gelatin into a measuring cup with a pourable spout, or use an eye dropper. Carefully pour or dot gummy liquid into each cavity of the silicone molds.
- Transfer the trays or sheets with the silicone molds into the refrigerator to set (about 20 minutes).
- When the gummies are set completely, remove them from the silicone molds by pushing the sides of the gummies away from the sides of the molds and toward the center. Pull the gummies out of the molds.
- Store the gummies in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, or in the refrigerator, for several weeks.
